Southern France is starting to export beautiful premium style wines. This Cotes du Rousillon is such a perfect example.

Mas Las Cabes is a fifteen hectares vineyard bought by the family Gardiés in 1990. This terroir near the village of Espira de l’Agly in Roussillon is constituted of decomposed black schists.

With a 50% Syrah 30%, Grenache noir 10%, Carignan 10%, Mourvèdre blend, all organic, this wine has a multi-layer complexity of violets, liquorice and olive’s notes with very soft tannins and fruity notes. Food matching, few ideas : grilled meat, duck breast, lamb chops, cheese
